Last month each elementary school had their Beatlemania concerts! Everyone did such a great job! If you didn't get a chance to see the concerts, you can watch the videos. Leading up to the concerts, we did interactive read-a-loud's to learn historical and biographical information about The Beatles. Students also watched the original "Ed Sullivan" footage when The Beatles first came to America!!!

As we are winding down our school year, here is a quick look at what some of the students are working on!

6th grade students are hard a work with creating music videos using the "Video Star" application. Students are choosing songs which show a particular theme/mood.  Students are doing all of the planning, producing, editing, and recording! Students will write a brief reflection at the conclusion of the project about the theme/mood of their song choice and video.

6th grade students are also preparing songs for their "moving up" ceremonies which are only a few weeks away!

3rd grade students are still hard at work with their recorders. We have several students who have already earned their "black belt" in the recorder karate program. Way to go!!!

1st grade students have been working on writing a song to the theme of "The Green Grass Grows All Around". Students are coming up with new themes/ideas. We are building our songs one step at a time. When the songs are finished we will record them and upload them to the website for all to enjoy!
